Community gathering the day and evening of Saturday May 23rd from noon early arrival through 2AM. VIP Passes include Noon arrival, all others at 2PM. $25 Day Pass may be available until sold out.
MUSIC FIRE FESTIVAL ART ENERGY FOOD DRUMMING CARE
We are blessed with an amazing location in nature at the beautiful
Malibu Phoenix Resort. Our main pool~side/hot tub celebration includes
DJs and a bar that's available all day from 2 in the afternoon till 12
midnight. A nearby gazebo will house a variety of music & art
installations. Food will be served by Divine Nourishment, and our
decoration provided by Greensector. This is a safe, private place on
many acres with gardens and a very special sacred space....after midnight we go downtempo to dance and ritual until 2AM with Red Lightning & the Lightning Temple leading music.
MUSIC INCLUDES:
Square 1, A. SUN (Space Station 3), Jesse Wright (Pocket), FatFinger(Alma/Plump), Mark Zabala (Ninja Skillz), DJ Madison, DJ Loomers, The Orphics, In2WishN, Interactivation
Lightning Temple performers and their kin use the art of Fire~Dance in ceremony.
Installations will be provided by Greensector, Nature, iLT: Lightning Temple Interactivation and Green Society along with our Red Lightning collaborators with Wandering Photography by CuriousJosh. You are welcome to bring your creative work to share in this space.
Amplified sound will include live and mix artists and groups and this weekend is designed for us to hear each others' music and tone as we integrate our stories and creative adventures for the coming year. Bring your own instruments and sing your own songs, teach us something new. Amplified sound will end at midnight to be completed with our voices, drums and instruments.
WHY RED LIGHTNING?
A celebration space of giving and community culture: come together and create!
Donations and proceeds from this event will be shared as a fundraiser for our playa camping experience at Red Lightning with Shamballah, Green Society and Lightning Temple. Our sacred spaces in 2009 are now being built and we ask for your care and support as we work to build these communities as an integrated sanctuary. This event is a fundraiser for www.redlightning.org where more details on our village for Black Rock City 2009 will be posted.
No paper tickets will be mailed; your name will be at the gate on arrival. Leave comments if you want to share something special and bring friends -- we may have room after Topanga Days but get passes early in case we sell out.
